**WARNING TO ALL CAT LOVERS!

I may regret posting this...but right now this moment I hate cats!! Okay a little less offensive...I hate my neighbors cats (yes, plural! many sick cats!!) Zach didn't realize he had stepped in the many cat crap piles on our lawn, and came in our house all the way to his bedroom. I was gagging at how bad my house smelled and Zach said, "Ew it smells like the neighbor sick cat's crap!" Yes we are all growing unfond of the cats!!
Well I then realized my house isn't really that smelly....it's disgusting cat crap!! I am so mad. I wanted to throw it back to the neighbors...do you think that would cause any problems? Anyway as I am scrubbing one of the many crap marks on our carpet, Zach notices I am using a sponge like the one I use on the dishes and says, " is that what you use to wash dishes?!!" I of course informed him that it was an old one that I will be throwing away. He said, "Good I thought you we were going to have to eat off cat crap washed dishes!" Oh he is so observant!

Anyway I am off to buy some carpet cleaner once Lauren awakes from her nap! We have ussed all the carpet cleaner on our potty training mishaps! And tonight Gerry is buying cat repellent! It better work! WEll as therapeutic journaling/blogging is supposed to be...I still have to say I hate our neighbors cats!! My house smells like a stinking outhouse! Sick!
**side note- that is not a pic of our neighbors cats...I googled ugly cat and the really ugly ones scared me! Did I mention I don't like cats!!
Cat lovers please don't be offend...I am sure your cats don't crap...or it doesn't stink right! :)

"ME GO PARK?"

I swear without a doubt every single night while tucking the kids in bed...it is routine of Lauren to ask, "Me go park?" and my reply "yeah tomorrow!" and she say's "Ahh man, me go to park now" and so on.
My point is Lauren ADORES the park. In the summer 2 weeks in a row I promise we went to the park every single day! The kids have tons of fun and it's fun to watch big smiles on my little ones. Playing in the backyard is no where near as fun as going to the park and making new buddies...if anyone dares go out in the heat!
Here are some of the treasured times at the park this summer. (It was so hot, the kids were beet red and the Slurpee before hand colored their lips...no lipstick!) I didn't realize how hot it was until I saw these pictures. Oh well good summer fun!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

I love this lady! I just want to wish my sweet mom a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I don't know where I would be without her! My mom has not JUST been the best mom, but always has been my best friend. She has always been there for me...even during those not so fun teenage years...okay and beyond that! She is such a wonderful example to me! She is the most loving and giving person I know. She gives and gives to everyone. She has the biggest heart and I am so blessed to have her as my mom! Thank you Mom for all you do for me and my family. I hope you had a wonderful birthday and many many more!!

"I am so happy you were born!" :)
Love ya,

My Cowboy!

I am so sad that Lauren is growing out of her nap time. I honestly look forward to quiet time. As much as I love to play, nap time I am able to get so much done...or just do nothing!! :)

This is what nap time has started to look like.....

Within 5 minuets of putting Lauren in her bed, she came out of her room and said, "Me cowboy....me have to find my horse!" I had to laugh. And what do you know she found her horse!
Lauren was cracking me up calling herself a cowboy. She said, "Me cowboy have no gun!" I was laughing. Too funny, but so sad for no nap time!

Oh I don't know if I have ever blogged this...but Lauren is working on saying "I" instead of "Me". Well right after she just finished with her speech pathologist, she was saying, "Me want hamburger" and I said, "No I want a hamburger" She looked at me and said, "Me no I" She had had enough saying "I"!! I had to laugh. but all that hard work in speech and she was done!
***Oh and sorry about the picture quality my good camera battery was dead!

Seriously!

So I have to post about this because honestly back when I worked at Advanta Bank (at least 4 years ago) and sat at a desk ALL day, I thought of this!! If only I had the ability to create it and now benefit from it $$$! I just can't believe they really have a treadmill desk. Would you honestly dress up for work? YUCK!! Imagine the smelly office!

Visitor!

On Thursday my good friend Laisa came to visit from South Carolina. I have missed Laisa. Her and her husband moved from CA to South Carolina only a couple months ago to start orthopedic residency...and I have missed them. I met Laisa when I moved to CA. We only lived a couple doors away in the same apartment building. And we enjoyed some fun times. We used to put our kids to bed (they don't have any yet...hint hint Miller's :) ) and we would play games and hang out every night. We also would scrapbook together, grocery shop, and just play!! I loved it. When do you ever have a grocery shopping buddy? They were such great friends...even had Zach sleep over when we were at the ER with Lauren. And Tim always answered my medical questions...Oh and Laisa is my boss (paralegal for the attorney I work for). Anyway we for sure miss having them so close. It sure was fun to have Laisa come stay with us for 3 days. (we missed you Tim). I loved just hanging out like the old times!! Thanks Laisa for coming. Come again soon!!
Here are a few pictures I took at Santa Monica Pier. Gerry and Lauren stayed home for the BYU game!
Oh and funny story....we when just arrived to Santa Monica Pier... I said, "We need to see someone famous...they always say in the magazines they are here. " So we kept our eyes out. As we were leaving we saw this guy hanging out his window (no screen) a couple stories up, talking to a lady that was down on the ground. It totally looked like a movie! I said hey isn't that that famous guy. I know him! And I told Laisa to get a picture. So Laisa got a shot of him (my camera battery of course died) picture to come when I get it from Laisa. Oh and as we are taking the picture a couple right by us is taking a pic too and wondering the same thing. Sure enough...Nick Nolty it was! He yelled out the window at us, "Hey folks, how's it going?" I of course froze. Laisa said hi! We were so happy to see our famous person...but didn't know his name until we got home to google it! :)

Silly Kids!

Funny things my kids said....

I just got home from the bank and was talking to Gerry...
Me: "Everyone and their dog was at the bank!"
Zach: "Everyone brought their dog to the bank?"

Lauren was wearing a dress and I put her in panties to TRY to potty train....
Me: "Lauren don't pee in you pants, okay?"
Lauren: "No me PANTS... me DRESS!"

I can't enough of my kids! They just keep me laughing....

Stress, School, and Surgery!!

The past few days have been a little stressful....

Labor day I got a call from my step mom saying my Dad had a heart attack! Not something I ever wanted to hear. Luckily he was able to get to the hospital in time and put right into surgery. What a blessing!! I have just been sick about it...especially not being able to be there and see him. My Dad is now home and recovery!! I feel truly blessed...I can't imagine my life without my sweet Dad!
(As always my Dad is smiling!!)

The next day Sept. 2nd Zach started 2nd grade!! Exciting and sad! He is liking his new teacher and happy to see all his old buddies. I was really sad that I didn't get to walk him to class the 1st day because Lauren went into surgery early that morning. But Zach was happy to have Dad take him to class the 1st day!! Gerry was so great to even get pictures of the morning.
(Excited for school!!)So while Zach started school, Lauren went into surgery to have her 2nd set of tubes put in her ears and have her adenoids removed. I was stressed out with everything going on. But again we were blessed to have Lauren's surgery go smoothly. She was a bit sick coming out of the anesthesia...but is doing well. She was feeling good the 2nd day and I think played too much...which is why I think she is sick today...but we are getting better. (Lauren after surgery)

The past couple of days have been stressful. I honestly wasn't sure how I was going to get through it...but as always I am so BLESSED and always taken care of. I am so thankful for all I have!!

Bottled Water Facts!

Ever since we have moved to California about 2 1/2 years ago...we have bought bottled water. And pretty much that is the only water we drink, except for the kids drink tap a little to get the fluoride. When we moved here I heard all these things about the water contamination's and so forth. So I just preferred bottled water.

Well last night we went to dinner at a friends house with a few other families. It was great fun. But what we learned from our friend who is a water engineer and works on the water systems here in LA, is that bottle water has estrogen in it. It's not the water but it's in the plastic that the bottles are made of. He said you are better off drinking the tap water. He said it's not that big of deal if you drink it every now and then, but to have it our only source of water is not good. So I am not sure what more estrogen does to women...but I don't think it is a great thing for men to have! :) So looks like we will be investing in some sort of water purifier. I thought I would share that crazy info! Crazy! I will miss bottled water.
