and PERFECT!!

We are so excited Clint is finally here! We are completely in LOVE with him! He has a full head of red hair! Which I LOVE!! He is my little peanut and such a good baby! We are all doing well. This recovery for some reason seems a lot harder...but I think I am past the hard part. I will have to post the baby story later...baby calling! And thank you everyone for the sweet calls, texts, emails and prayers....I will get back to you when I get normal!

So for a pregnancy update, since I am so good at it...

I am scheduled Nov. 23rd to be induced! Ahhh! I am not sure I am mentally ready! What have I got myself into? No...just kidding I am truly excited and feel completely blessed that things have gone the way they have. Back at around 20-24 weeks it was determined that the baby was IUGR or Fetal Growth Restricted. Which means the baby has measured small for gestational stage. He was measuring in the 13th percentile. And for some reason wasn't getting the nutrients he needed to grow as big as normal. Don't let that fool ya...I have gained the weight just didn't go to my baby...just my back end! :) The past months have been filled with 2-3 specialist and obgyn doc appointments, each week. Which has made for some busy months. I am however very grateful for the medical knowledge we have. My specialist wasn't sure I was going to carry as far as I have. Growth Restricted baby's do fine once out of the womb but the restriction is somewhere between the placenta and what not. So I am just happy that I have got this far with the baby continuing to grow as much as he has. The baby looks healthy all organs and such. We are just going to have a peanut. I keep thinking the baby is going to fool the docs and be big...better not I need to use the cute preemie clothes! No I'd rather have him big and healthy. So we will see! My specialist has advised that it is time to get the little guy out so he can grow big. So we are schedule to be induced this Monday the 23rd. Thought I would share my exciting news. I am a chicken for pain and needles and blood and ahhh...I can't wait to have our sweet baby here and healthy!!

Halloween 2009

Obi Wan Kenobi and Sleeping Beauty have had quite the week of parties! And have enjoyed every minute of it! We started the week with the ward Trunk or Treat...

And after all the inbetween class parties, we ended with of course Trick or Treating! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween as we have!!

Now I am trying to avoid inhaling all the collected sweets! :)

Pumpkin Pumpkin!

I LOVE Halloween! I love carving pumpkins. but I am not very good! So Monday for family night we carved pumpkins. Lauren helped me this year and wanted just a heart...so made my job easy! Zach kept coming up with crazy things like Zelda and Skeletons...but we finally decided on a more simple pumpkin. It took longer to decide what Zach wanted than to actually carve the pumpkin! I also tried to make carmel apples for the 1st time...they didn't turn out so good! But what a fun family night!

Camping!

Gerry took the kids camping last week Friday up Mt. Charleston. The kids LOVED it! They said it was their best day ever! Who knew! They asked me many times to come, even offered to buy an air mattress...yeah 34 weeks pregnant, my nightly trips to the bathroom...would not mix with the outdoors! And it was a bit chilly! So I enjoyed the quiet evening at home! Too bad I sent Gerry with a low camera battery...not many picture... just great memories!!

Our Big 3rd Grader!!

Zach started 3rd grade yesterday! Ahh! I can't believe my baby is in 3rd grade. When I was lacing up his new school shoes I couldn't believe how big they were. Where has the time gone! He is growing up so fast! Lauren and I were sad to see him go back. The house is awfully quiet with Lauren in preschool and now Zach in school! I am excited for Zach to get back into the school thing and make new friends! He will do great! and it's always fun to see the growth with each year! WE LOVE YOU ZACH and are so HAPPY your ours!!

Soccer Begins...

Zach had his 1st soccer game on Saturday. I almost said forget it. It was awfully hot. I mean HOT! When I signed him up for soccer I thought Vegas people would only play a sport if it was reasonable weather. Either I am not adjusted to the temp. or people are crazy. I seriously felt bad for Zach out on the field running. I tried to be a positive cheerleader! :) Zach told the coach he wanted to be goalie part of the game, which he did awesome at...smart move required less running! :) Zach played great and we were so proud of him! I look forward to the season...especially once it cools down!

Our Little Preschooler!!

Monday Lauren started preschool. She loved it! I was a bit nervous because ever since I have talked about her going to preschool she has said, "I go preschool ALL by MYSELF?!?" Last year we did a mommy and me preschool...so this year would be some change. Once she got her Tinker Bell "pack pack" (aka back pack) she has been thrilled. I think meeting her teacher Miss Lesly, at orientation also helped. With pack pack in hand Lauren walked in and didn't turn back! She was so brave and loved every minute! I thought I was going to be sad...of course I missed her. but I was just so proud of my little baby girl!! Who is growing up!! She brings so much joy to our lives! and I am just so happy to have her in our family!


The highlights in Lauren's 1st day of preschool were:

playing on the playground, painting with her favorite colors, reading books, singing songs, snack time, and she was good, "Mom I only did good things...not bad things!" You could say the day was a success!! WE LOVE YOU LAUREN!!

***ANYONE that can help...why are my pictures crappy on my blog? Do I need to resize them before uploading!? It's ticking me off. They look good normally just not on the blog. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

WAY overdue and many things skipped!

I LOVE LOVE overcast, raining days in Vegas!! You can actually walk to your car without needing to turn around for a 2nd shower! Saturday was the perfect day to venture up into the mountains...okay 5 miles up...and we found Red Rock National Park (quite small...only 13 miles drive) but very pretty! The kids enjoyed our small trail hike in the light rain and were so sad when the 13 miles (driving that is) came to an end!

I am a lame blogger now! But today we found out what we are having so I thought I would update! Gerry is offically calling it Frank the tank and the newest is Goliath!! That's right it's a boy!! We are thrilled! We will however be working on some better names!! :) No pictures because I am too lazy to upload and we are on our way out of town!! But wanted to let you all know our exciting news and say Happy 4th of July!! Love ya all! Becca
