Lauren's princess friends...

Lauren is such a girly girl...that I love. She does however have a big brother to influence her...just a tad. You can usually find Lauren all dolled up in her princess gear usually chasing Zach and the neighborhood boys around with swords and guns. Love that she is so versatile! I was going through pictures and found this one of Lauren's princess toys sharing their dresses with Woody, bugs and alien friends! This just made me laugh! I remember back in Nevada finding these toys Lauren had dressed up! She makes me laugh! As much as I love my kids, I miss when they were just little people...still little people but you know what I mean. I hate to see them grow up! I need to be better at enjoying them now...stop worry about little things! and of course always cherish the sweet memories! (Nov. 2009- Lauren age 4)

Crazy Hair

It was red ribbon week at the kids school. I think it was a perfect way to get ready for Halloween. At least it got me excited. I secretly wanted to dress up with my kids and spray paint my hair. Being a kid is way too fun!! :) I forgot to take pictures of all the other fun crazy days...but this day was "crazy hair day" These were the colors and hair styles the kids chose! Lauren insisted on a pattern...has been doing patterns in school. So cute!

my little school girl

Lauren was so sad when I told her we were taking back all her cute school clothes that she picked out to trade for uniforms. That was the main thing that got her excited for Kindergarten was going clothes shopping! :) Well when I showed her that her uniforms were skirts and dresses...she was thrilled and loving it even if it wasn't pink and purple!! Posing her new uniform for me!! Love her!

school starts...

3 days before school was starting we decided to go to a charter school instead of the new school down the street...which meant taking back all of the cute school clothes for cute uniforms...right? No...I think uniforms can be cute! Anyhow I wasn't quite sure if going to the charter school was the best decision since it is 5 miles away as apposed to the .5 mile brand new public school is. but now I can say it is worth the drive. My kids love their school and friends. The charter school teaches 3 foreign languages so Zach is studying Arabic (his choice) and Lauren studying Spanish. I love hearing them speak in their new language. Zach was actually chosen as "student of the term" in his Arabic class. And his teacher has emailed telling me he is his favorite student. They all get Arabic names and the teacher chose Zach's as Jamile...which means handsome. Zach was embarrassed when he told me. So cute.
Lauren was into the photo shoot...Zach was ready to go! And I didn't get to take Zach to his class...he is a big kid now ya know. So no classroom shots! :)
Here is our big 4th grader...crazy!
Here is our little Kindergartner!!

"okay mom...ready to go already! "

When we got to school my little Kindergartner went right in...but looked a bit nervous! I was so excited for her...but sad for me to not have her around and to let her grow up!! Oh my sweet Kindergartner!!

I love this pic of Lauren the top of her little head...trying to find her spot!! So cute!!

Lauren glamous 5th birthday party!!

My beatutiful birthday girl! The invitations I made

Getting readyBirthday girl...choosing hot colors!Left to Right: Ella, Kaylee, Anna, Lauren, Lark, Kennedy, Tabeitha, and Kaylee Cute silly girls!Making a wishFor Lauren's 5th birthday, she wanted to have a make-up party! What girl doesn't love getting their make-up done and finger nails painted? It's Lauren's favorite thing! So we invited a bunch of her girlfriends and had a "Glamorous Party"!!

I had my sister and sister-in-laws came and helped me with everything...they saved me! We stated the party with different stations (you could call them) you could get your fingernails painted, make-up done, make bead necklace, decorate a bracelet band, and decorate a bag to keep all your treasures in and take home goodies. The girls were all so cute and I think really enjoyed getting their make-up done and choosing their nail colors. After all the fun we had pizza, bread sticks, grapes and caprisuns for dinner. Then we opened presents! Then sang happy birthday and ate cupcakes. After the girls chatted and watched Tinkerbell until their parents came to get them. Lauren was in heaven with all her favorite things...friends and getting all dolled up! I had been so excited for this girly party. It was so fun to see Lauren with her friends and loving every minute! I can't believe my baby girl is 5! She is such a girly girl and I absolutely love it and even more love her!! Happy birthday baby girl!! (July 2010)
