more partying!

Can't forget the family birthday party! We had Grandma Judy, Grandpa and Granny Lynch over for presents and the fancy cake aka donuts! Zach insisted he didn't like cake...I didn't complain!Happy 9th Birthday Zach!! Can't believe my baby is 9!! Zach is such a sweet boy! Everyone tells me how polite he is and just the other day the neighbor said she would be so happy to have one of her daughters marry him! I am so proud of Zach! He is so smart and is always trying to make everyone laugh. He bring so much happiness to our home! Just love him to pieces!! His new bike!The quilt Granny made him!Lauren bought him and herself kites! :)...and she dressed herself too!!(making a wish! Love it! )

Zach turns 9!!...in May

***(Sorry this is old news but I am playing catch up for my own personal journal...since I gave up scrapbooking (let's be honest who has time for that...wish I did! ))

For the past 2 of Zach's birthdays (#8 and #9) we have been in the middle of moving. Last year we were literally unpacking the uhual the day before. This year we had only been in our house for a month or so...which didn't give much time to meet a lot of people. but I wanted to have a friend birthday party for Zach ....however wanted it simple! :) So Zach had 3 buddies (Brayden, Elijah, and Aaron) come party/sleepover! We had pizza for dinner, then played some old school games...I thought I was just going to be annoying with my games...but actually the boys loved the games. We played the penny in the flour, the candy bar game, and the present wrapped a million times and you have to roll a certain # to steal it and unwrap it. After games we hit the movies to see Shrek Forever After. Then after the movie, 2 of the boys had to go home. Elijah slept over and they played video games until midnight. I kept telling Gerry they need to go to bed...but Gerry insisted it was a "party"! None of Zach's friends knew each other but were all buddies within minutes of meeting. It ended up being a fun filled night and Zach had a great birthday!!

When Clint gets upset and is so tired he will just give up and put his face down into his hands. It is thee cutest thing ever and at that point I know I better help him out!!

an update on us...

Zach...

*turned the big 9 in May!
*loving being in a neighborhood where he can roam and hang out with his buddies!
*enjoyed a great season of baseball and took tennis lessons this summer...which he is better than I am (I guess that isn't saying too much:)
*excited (well not so sure ready for summer to end) but going to start 4th grade next Wednesday!
*wants to be an astronaut when he grows up!

*Loves helping with Clint and can get Clint to smile no matter what!

Lauren...

*turned 5 in July
*Loving the summer days
*Lives outside on her scooter. Seriously is a skilled scooter machine! She balances and flies down the hills in our neighborhood! I wish I had it on video! Her buddies envy her skills :)!
*heading for the big K (kindergarten) in 2 weeks!! What will I do with my baby girl all grown up!
*Wasn't excited for school until went school clothes shopping...defiantly a girl!!
*Is growing up way to fast. Her new thing is peace signs...I swear every shirt she wanted for school had to have one on it.



Clint...

*Is 8 months old! growing too fast!

*weighs almost 20 pounds!
*Liking his baby food...finally!!
*still no teeth

*still has closed tear duct in left eye...darn thing!
*has been crawling and sitting up since 6 months.
*favorite thing to do: crawl under my bed and gets stuck
*gets so excited when kids come in the room, can't keep his eyes off them
*screams at the top of his lungs (sometimes scares himself) and thinks it's the funniest thing ever! :)
*pulled himself up for the 1st time last week and now is mastering it
*climb his 1st stair this morning...what?
*Is seriously the best baby...happy as can be...smiles and laughes at everything! Even when crying I will say "shhh" and he will start laughing!! :) love it!
*but I think is going to be some serious trouble already having to keep up with the other kids and toys are just not his thing...everything else is!


Oh how I love these little people and so happy they are mine!!

Solid Fun!

Clint didn't start out enjoying his solid foods either becaus 1) I thought starting him with yucky veggies would be smart since he wouldn't have the sweet fruit to compare it with or 2) because Dad loves to share his "real" tasty food with him. After about 4 months of trying him on baby food, Clint finally has started to like them around age 8 mo. He still is not fond of rice or oatmeal cereal...unless it's mixed with fruit! I can't say I blame him...some of the food I can barley stand to smell! (pictures age 6 mo)

3 months old today!!

I can't believe Clint is 3 months old! Time flies!He is such a calm, sweet, happy, patient baby. With Gerry already living in UT, being a single mom to 3 has been challenging. However I am blessed that Clint is so easy going and such a good baby! Here are a few things about Clint.... Facts...

*had his 1st eye infection at 2 months old

*found out allergic to Erythromycin (antibiotic) after braking out in a rash all over his body the week of his blessing! (Luckily cleared up in time!)

*had 1st ear infection at 2 1/2 months old! Lovely hoping not to follow in Lauren's footsteps!

*Social hour around 11pm! Wide awake! silly boy!

*makes the cutest squeals and sounds!

Likes...

*Loves his big brother and big sister!! Even when he played "Lauren's little sister"! Could sit and watch Zach and Lauren all day!

*Loves bath time

* Adores his mama!!...okay maybe that is because he loves his food!

*Has the cutest gummy grin ever!

* Found his hands and loves sucking on his itty bitty thumb! which makes the loudest cutest sounds!

Dislikes...

* when bath time ends!

*Not to fond of the church bell ringing to let out classes....not very fond of mom for standing right under bell! oops!

OH HOW WE LOVE HIM!!

Clint's Blessing

Feb. 7th Gerry blessed Clint in Utah at my Dad's ward. Gerry gave such a sweet blessing and Clint was quiet the entire time. It was planned last minute due to other things that came up but we were happy to have it work out in Utah and to have all the family and friends come that could. It was a special day for our sweet baby!! Of course I barely took pictures at the luncheon...which I am so mad at myself...but at least I got a few good ones of our handsome little man!! He is truely a blessing to our family!!
